Il quarto dataset periodico HDClarity è ora disponibile!
Mar 30, 2026
We are excited to announce the release of HDClarity-PDS4, the fourth periodic dataset from the HDClarity study.
Nested within Enroll-HD, HDClarity is the largest ongoing longitudinal collection of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and plasma in Huntington’s disease (HD). At least 2,500 participants are expected to contribute to this study.
What is new for this release?
HDClarity-PDS4 contains data from 999 participants recruited across North America, Europe and, most recently, Australasia, a sample size almost 50% larger than that in HDClarity-PDS3. This release also includes 1,443 study visit packages, each incorporating one or more successful CSF sampling visits, representing an increase of over 70% relative to HDClarity-PDS3.

“I’m beyond thrilled that the awesome generosity and determination of our volunteer participants, combined with the hard work of all the HDClarity investigators over the past decade, has generated this milestone PDS release”, said Professor Ed Wild, chief investigator of HDClarity. “HDClarity-PDS4 contains data from almost 1,500 visits by nearly a thousand dedicated people. The scientific power of these samples and data is unprecedented and will be put to the best possible uses in accelerating our understanding of HD and the development of meaningful treatments. I would like to thank everyone involved in bringing it to fruition.”
Researchers can access HDClarity-PDS4 and associated biosamples through the Enroll-HD platform. Please visit the Accesso page on the Enroll-HD website for further information.
Supporting documentation has been updated to assist researchers in understanding the dataset. This includes a machine-readable Dizionario dei dati in JSON format and the HDClarity-PDS4 Overview document, which provides an overview of the dataset, sample size, visits, sample characteristics (sociodemographic and clinical), and longitudinal data coverage.
This dataset release is intended to support new and ongoing HD research – please feel free to share this announcement with colleagues who may be interested in accessing and utilizing HDClarity-PDS4.
